we were in AZ last week. We really had a great time. Reed had a dental conference in Scottsdale and we followed him there. On the way there we stopped at the meteor crater and the grand canyon. Really amazing stuff. i couldn't really relax and enjoy the views at the grand canyon because i was so freaked that my kids would fall to their demise. We saw many dust twisters and drove through a few, the kids thought that was great. In Scottsdale we took advantage of big city life and filled our days with swimming, good food, train parks, mini golf, bumper boats, go carts, Benihanas, late night movies and shopping. we had so much fun we wore the kids down to complete exhaustion. we are still recovering. It was a blast.

I am so glad you got to enjoy the warmth and the fun. We just went to the Grand Canyon last week in April 17thish. I also freaked out a few times thinking my kids may fall in. How did you like Meteor Crater.? I think it is fascinating but a little pricey.
