we had a great time at the beach. the kids stayed all day and never got bored.

the zoo was a beautiful place to walk around and the animals were really lively which was nice for a zoo. there was this really beautiful blue bird that was giving me the funniest looks with a tilt of his head, he was totally cracking me up, then there was this water tank with baby ducks and the pictures of his upper and lower body were so distorted it made a funny picture.

we went to the san diego botanical gardens. i felt so at home there and couldnt help but stop and take pictures of all the interesting flowers.

my favorite sea world story:

reed had bought some fish so the kids could feed the seals. he was holding the box of fish and explaining to the kids that they needed to be careful because the lady at the counter said the birds were really aggressive. right after he finished telling the kids a bird came out of no where behind us and snatched the box of fish right out of reed's hands. It took a second or two for everyone to process what had happened and then we all had a good laugh.

we spent a week in San Diego and had way to much fun. we spent the week celebrating 40 years of marriage for mike and joani. we spent a lot of time on the beach, going to sea world, the San Diego zoo and enjoyed a lot of laughing and good times.

we met up with my brother david who lives there with his cute little family, leticia, gene and jeramiah. we went to the tide pools and watched the seals lay on the beach. the kids had so much fun and carson and gene made a fun reconnection. they were so funny together. the only bummer was that we didn't get to see them more.
