today was the first day of school! this summer flew by. Caleb started fourth grade today, Carson started first grade and Maia had school with grandma. they were all so excited they were up at 6am! we have half days all this week, so it gives us a slow ease into the school year. there is something really exciting about new supplies and a new outfit, well for me there is, they looked so cute.

when Caleb started kindergarten we both had a hard time saying goodbye, so we made matching necklaces and wore them during school so we could remember each other. last night Caleb gave me one of two bracelets he made a while ago that match, so we could wear them today and remember each other. i love how sentimental and tenderhearted he is. i wore the bracelet all day and i think I'll keep it on all week.
max loved that everyone had a backpack, so i pulled a small backpack out for him and he wore it most of the morning, see how happy he is. he is such a cheeser! we spent the morning, just the two of us. It was so fun, that doesn't happen very often.

Ah, the start of school...wish I could enjoy it more with my kids...but honestly I was/still am dreading it! It means back to the grind for me...oh well.
