Caleb had his first pine wood derby. He was so excited. He had all these really great design ideas. He wanted a red eye tree frog on top so we found a picture on the Internet and decoupaged it on. Reed and Caleb shaped it and painted it. i think he really enjoyed the time with his dad. just the two of them went to the derby and came back with a trophy. Caleb is so talented with arts and crafts I'm not surprised he won best design. congratulations Caleb!!

Awesome, Caleb! I remember when I was in cub scouts my pinewood derby car won an award for best design...however, it didn't race very well at all! Hopefully, your car did better than mine on the track.

Cannon will love to see these. He can't WAIT to start scouts. We had a fireside last night -- for all kids turning 8. He's thrilled that he'll get to go to scout day camp -- even though it is a few weeks prior to his birthday. Cool car!
Caleb- that is the best looking car. It totally is you. You have some creative and fun parents to help you. Can't wait to see the new ideas you do for your room. You have the coolest room.
