love is in the air

valentines day is special to me. the kids surprised reed and i with breakfast in bed (slim fast for me and instant breakfast for reed with toast and a chocolate heart) with this cute little note attached. they are so thoughtful. they were so excited they kept coming back into our room whispering "hey they arent awake yet, are they going to see our surprise?, why wont they wake up." it was really funny. reed brought maia and i flowers, he has done that every year since maia was born. this year he decided not to leave the boys out so he bought them chocolate bars. my little valentines to the kids were heart suckers and a small something. maia got braclets, caleb and carson got a mini lego kit and max got a board book. they were all so excited, i love that kids get excited over little things and enjoy them like it was the best thing they had ever recieved. carson opened all three of his suckers and had them all....AT ONCE. he is such a candy man.
valentines has always been fun but this year i had one more special thing to celebrate. a year ago on valentines day we brought Max home from the NBICU. it was a special day, one that i will never forget. After a four week struggle he was ready to be home with his family. so glad you are here my little max. i love you.

What a fun day! Can't believe it's been a year since Max got home!

One of my friends saw Carson's picture and said, "Is that Zack?"
