back to school

i love new school supplies. i always have. i don't know what it is about a brand new box of crayons that makes me so giddy. i love to get the kids list and go through the store on a treasure hunt for folders, glue sticks and pencils. i love printing their names on each little item and getting it all packed away into their new back packs. i don't have any little ones who think its as great an adventure as i do, in fact i asked caleb and carson if they wanted to have a special date with me to go pick out their school supplies and a few needed clothing items. they acted like i asked them to clean toilets all day. i wonder when maia starts school if she will enjoy the smell of new crayons, the joy of a new set of colored pencils, or the thrill of a new lunch box....or is it just me?
